Making Love is Easy

...and no I'm not talking about the infamous iPhone application. I'm talking about real Love. We all know Love has many meanings and expressions, but I am referring to love in its most basic and purest form. I've discovered that once you really commit to being an open and good person making love is so easy! Creating Love is more than just a sex act, making love is a connection between two people; it comes from the words you don't say to each other when you're watching a movie. Loving someone to the point where you realize that you've made a connection, and that the connection is real, powerful and in some instances psychic. To really be open to a person and have that Love reciprocated back is such an awesome feeling. Yes, this takes a HUGE level of trust, but trust is so quickly and easily gained.
I've come to realize that I am making more Love everyday. Not only with those in my life, but with myself as well. Its just like cooking. Sure, you dine at a fine restaurant and the food is great, but nothing will ever feel or taste as good as meal you've made yourself. Loving yourself is the first step in the process of easy Lovemaking (this includes the physical).
While on the mission to accomplish my goals this year, I am learning so many lessons. the most important one is getting better at Loving others and sharing it. All I ever really want to do with my day is to share a smile or a laugh with someone. I don't wake up looking to be pissed off, or dreading my day, or wishing I wouldn't wake up. I wake up thinking "what adventure awaits!"
Being grateful for Life starts you on the path to discovering your own unique way of Loving, it is up to you to share and spread that Love. Each path is different for every individual. I bid you well on yours, and never stop creating Love.

#10 down!

This year I decided that I wanted to really be in charge and own everything about my life. Every decision, thought, feeling, etc... and live every single moment to the fullest. And I'm doing it!

I created a list of 24 things to do this year. The number "24" holds no real significance, but as I thought of all the things I've ever wanted to do but put off for some reason, it turned out to be 24....so far. I recently accomplished #10 "Get something published". I wrote an article for a cool up and coming music site for the DC/MD/VA Area called DMVSpectrum.com. Created by 2 journalists, DMV Spectrum brings to light all the talent the "Area" has to offer. From Musical acts, writers, poetry series, music awards, you name it and its covered by DMVSpectrum.com. I've known the Editor-In-Cheif since, well let's say she's practically family! So I really wanted to make an impression and live up to the site's goals and reputation. I was ecstatic that my piece was accepted with open arms, and that I have the ability to keep contributing. Thanks again to DMVSpectrum.com! This might be the first step on a new path for me.

The People

This past weekend I finally brokedown and saw Avatar. There has been much hype about this movie, and like any movie with a lot of hype I was worried that it was going to suck. Sure I wanted to see it, but I didn't want to be disappointed. Well...I wasn't. Avatar is another in a string of enviornmentally-friendly-open-your-eyes-before-you-destroy-all-that-is-good-and-pure-in-the world movies, but something about Avatar.....made it touching. With its many parallels to the Matrix (and Ferngully for that matter), I was intigued by the idea that there exists another world where people work in unision not only with each other, but with the Earth and all living things. That there is a force, an energy, that we're all connected to that keeps us grounded, but gives us power. However, since we live in a world that is so cruel and downright idiotic (we let "paper" run our lives), we're too blind and ignorant to remember this connection and keep it sacred. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen really. From the message, to the other world created by director James Cameron, it wouldn't surprise me if Avatar gets a cult following a la Star Wars. I also HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie in IMAX 3-D. It may make you a little queasy, but the imagery and message are well worth it.

Snowmageddon 2010 Rocks!

Today is a great time to be alive. Why? Because we are currently living through the snowiest Winter EVER (well at least in Philly, Delaware, South Jersey & DC/MD/VA)! The federal government has been shut down since last Friday, schools and many jobs are closed, and public transportation is at a stand still; not a typical Wednesday.

This past weekend the Delaware Valley got hit with a little over 2 feet of snow, and we're scheduled to get another foot and a half. So what's a gal to do? Go to a concert! Yep, I treated myself to a concert on one of my favorite sites Hulu. Hulu is a free site that allows you to watch full episodes of shows, documentaries and of course concerts. Today's feature was Paramore's (an awesome band from Tennessee) Chicago show from their Final Riot Tour. Interspersed with clips from their live DVD, the concert covered all their hits from both albums (All We Know Is Falling & Riot!). I jammed out from beginning to end, and was even touched that they teamed up with Love146.org to help bring awareness to the sex slave trade worldwide.

So if you're home watching you car get buried under feet of snow, treat yourself to a concert!

Forever Begins, The 2010 Mentaility.

Ashes and snow falls, I wonder when the roll call for heaven gon' come
Forever gon' come
It's a cold world and I can never go numb
Look fear in the eyes, say I'm never gon' run
Sooner than later, I know the cheddar gon' come
For now I write the world letters to better the young
On tree by jury, together we hung
Now we let our chains hang, and gang bang to maintain
Afghanistan goin' through the same thing
It trickles down, at each other we aim pain
I shoot for stars, peace and exclusive cars
Through the wire I learned to earn hard
Watched gangstas turn God in the midst of War
No matter how much I elevate, I kiss the floor
It was in the wind when she said Dilla was gone
That's when I knew we lived forever through song-Finding Forever
